Babacan Rubber manufactures rubber parts for demanding railway and heavy-equipment applications. We were the first Turkish manufacturer of chevron springs (2009) and supplied 1,800 chevron springs to Bombardier vehicles for the Ankara Metro. Parts are validated with FEA and mechanical, fatigue and hardness testing.

Ankara Metro — Bombardier chevron springs
Chevron springs (chevron mounts) are primary-suspension components that damp vibration, distribute dynamic loads and improve ride comfort. The metal reinforcement uses S355 J2+N steel; the rubber is compounded from NR/SBR/EPDM per application. 1,800 units were supplied to Bombardier vehicles for the Ankara Metro.
